Wilhelm & Lynne

Wilhelm and Lynne had a large family wedding. They celebrated the day starting early, with family helping in various aspects such as the ladies assisting Lynne with her make-up, where after they moved on to the ceremony in a country church.

Lynne, a beautiful bride was dressed in a unique white dress with feather detail and a long flowing veil arrived for the ceremony in a vintage Chevrolet. Her bridesmaid’s red dresses matched the roses used in the various flower arrangements. Her own bouquet in white however left an image of a snow princess.

At the reception a black and white theme was enhanced with white candles and red roses, with a gift of rose Turkish delight leaving a very sweet afterthought.

The photographs were taken in a natural environment – which enhanced the details of the rest of the wedding. The photos were taken by newcomer Irma Bosch, who has already made it to our top favourites list. She is a natural talent!

Francois & Leoni

Francois and Leoni were married at Galagos. Her non-traditional bouquet was made up of beads that matched the trimmings on her wedding dress. The tables were dressed in roasted almond table cloths with a variety of vases, lillies and daisies.

The wedding cake was a trolley arranged with chocolate cup cakes decorated in pink. Harp music enhance the unique atmosphere.

Jacques & Jolanda

Jaap & Maryke

Jaap and Maryke were married at Diep in die Berg. Family and friends attended the ceremony in a tastefully decorated hall where after they were greeted the happy couple with a rainstorm of coloured confetti. Guests were then treated to champagne in glasses with a sugar coated rim and spiced with cherries.

Maryke wore a beautiful dress with detailed beadwork, a laced back and a wide, kick-out skirt. Her bouquet of roses - varying from white with pink to pink with red, tried to be as beautiful as the bride. The relaxed couple enjoyed the photo sessions in the gardens where-after they joined their guests at the reception. The tablees were equally spectacularly decorated with large bouquets of roses. After the meal, a dessert, decorated once again with a variety of beautiful roses, was served.

Estavan & Isabel

Estavan and Isabel were married at Memoire. The couple complimented each other perfectly. Isabel was dressed in a uniquely decorated dress and Estavan had a matching waistcoat. The venue was brand new – certain areas were still under construction. The new gardens laid out with pathways, steps and lush lawn areas.

As one entered the chapel, vases of petals were ready and the bride entered on a red carpet. The main table was decorated with white flower arrangements and fairy lights.

Rinus & Esmari

Esmari and Rinus had their wedding at the lovely Galagos Country Estate. Esmari wore an exquisite white sleeveless dress with side wraps, very unadorned and elegant. The groom wore a fitted suite and golden under coat, and his supporting act wore jade green undercoats. The reception was a fun event, with dress up and slide shows giving the wedding a personal touch. The hall was decorated in silver, black and jade-green. The food was a set menu with a dessert buffet.

Photography was done by J and D photography, they are very pleasant to work with and their work is mind blowing. They are also on our list of the best photographers in South Africa and one of our preferred suppliers.

Govert & Liezl

Govert and Liezl had a picturesque wedding in a chapel with large chandeliers and stunning candels gracing the chapel. Rose petals were strewn in the chapel for the couple to follow when entering. Liezl looked stunning in her formal beaded wedding dress and her bouquet of white anthiriums enhanced her beauty.

The reception was held in at Diep in the Berg with a similar style. White roses and lilies graced the tables.

Jan & Cindy

The Venue for this romantic wedding was the West Cliff Hotel. With its breathtaking views, elegant ambience and luxurious rooms and suites, it is small wonder that The Westcliff is renowned as the city’s most romantic destination, the perfect place for weddings in Johannesburg!

The reception was very classical with blooming white roses and a silver sparkle.
